First day back at work

Today was my first day in my new job as well as Colton's first day of "school." His teacher's name is Ms. Joni and she is great. I am the Pre-K teacher's assistant so this will be a new and interesting role for me to play as I am used to having my own classroom with my own class of kids and doing things my way. I couldn't ask for a better situation however. Sarah (the pre-k teacher) graduated from the same college as me and taught in the same county as me and we never crossed each other's paths. She has a 2 year old daughter who also attends the daycare. I am so blessed to be able to work where Colton stays for daycare because I am right next door to him. I had a very boring day but Colton really enjoyed his day I was told. I had to sit on a bench in the front of the center and read rules and regulations from a binder. It was sooo boring and I took a few bathroom breaks, checked on Colton, visited my the kids in the pre-k class, and pumped at 1:00 pm in the director's office. The kids seem to be really fun and I even ate lunch with the. Then Sarah and I talked during naptime about how the day goes and all that. I think I will really enjoy my job as it will be so much less stress than teaching in a regular classroom as the lead teacher. My boss has so graciously offered me a lead teacher position for next year that I will obviously take because the pay will increase. I am hoping Colton continues to have good days. He ate both bottles. He almost finished the first one and the second one he finished all 3 and 1/2 oz. Joni said he didn't nap very long at all today but its because he's not used to having crying babies in the same room. I missed him tremendously today and kept picturing him in my mind. I need to put a pic of him in my pumping bag like some mom's do so I can look at his sweet precious face while I pump!!!
